LIBERTY | 2021

"Stay healthy" became a dictum last year. Stay healthy. But many people have not been able to do that in the past few months. The pandemic is still gripping the world.
Freedom rights have been restricted to protect health, but life goes on and we bear responsibility. Defying the crisis, Le Grand Mint advances with a lavish celebration of life, health and freedom.
Inspired by ancient Greek mythology, the Dortmund numismatics producer presents the exquisite gem "Liberty". On the naturalistically designed front, the beautiful Liberty guards our wonderful world with self-confidence and determination. The earth is symbolized by the pomegranate. For millennia, the sweet fruit with the bitter seeds has stood for life on planet earth, to which we all owe our lives.
The design idea was elegantly implemented by the Italian artist Loredana Pancotto. The designer has already designed award-winning collector coins for the Republic of San Marino and is one of the grande dames of the Italian medal and numismatic design elite.
The latest precious embossing from the in-house silver coin collection "The Wonderful World" will soon be produced in the usual high quality from 999.9 fine silver and published in a limited edition. "Per Aspera ad Astra", this inscription surrounds the reverse of the elegant 25 livres/lira/pounds silver coin from Le Grand Mint: "By rough paths one reaches the stars", is the meaning of the ancient idiom. Dedicated to medicine, science and medicine, an Aesculapian snake snakes its way up there. This finely crafted relief in fine silver is also a noble homage to valuable health. Probably the most important good in our life in freedom. With the silver precious piece "Liberty", Le Gand Mint is setting new standards and a new milestone in classic-modern coin design. For the sake of noble, beautiful freedom.
