Mystic Wolf 1/10 oz 9999 Ultra High Relief Proof Gold Coin

After the first embossing with the Majestic Eagle at the WMF 2020 in Berlin, its further developed smartminting® technology was presented. It was an instant hit. Now it's time to unveil its successor - the Mystic Wolf.

Mongolia has a large wolf population of around 30,000. The vast landscapes and wide valleys of Mongolia are perfect hunting grounds for a wolf pack, as they can travel great distances and reach speeds of 85 km/h in search of food.
On the one hand, wolves can be graceful and peaceful-looking animals, on the other hand, they can be ferocious killers, instilling fear with their snarling teeth. These two sides of the wolf are perfectly captured on these stunning coins.

The reverse shows a front view and side profile of a wolf in its calm state. The side profile view is embossed in ultra high relief with incredible detail for the fur and facial features. The smartminting® relief extends to the edge of the coin! You can see the wolf scanning the landscape in the distance. The front view of the wolf is expertly crafted to appear as if the wolf is a ghost image in the background. Razor-sharp details and relief combine to create this effect.

The front is impressive and shows the snarling mouth of the wolf. You can almost feel the impending attack! Its teeth are embossed in ultra-high relief and the spaces between them are recessed into the surface, providing amazing contrast. The tilted effigy is shown where the wolf's nose is located, providing yet another layer of ultra-high relief. The background has a unique geometric pattern with the hidden date "2021" stamped into the design.

A 1/10 fine gold coin in the capsule (3.1 g) is delivered in the box.
